Don Lemon CLAPS BACK at Nicki Minaj After Homophobic Attack Over ICE Protest
Don Lemon CLAPS BACK at Nicki Minaj After Homophobic Attack Over ICE Protest
- 18 minutes
Don lemon has to respond to homophobic
comments from, well, Nicki Minaj.
There's an update. Here it is.
So people have been asking me about,
responding to Nicki Minaj's unhinged,
[00:00:16]
homophobic tweet about me.
I usually don't respond to this stuff,
but let me just say
this Nicki Minaj stopped talking about
for which you know nothing about this
is out of your out of your depth,
by the way,
and you are a homophobic bigot.
[00:00:31]
You don't care about African Americans.
You're not an African American.
From what I know, you are reportedly
an undocumented citizen, so you should
be deported under Donald Trump's rules.
And the other thing is that your
family members, you have one family member
who is reportedly a sex offender,
[00:00:47]
the other family member or your husband or
whatever a sex offender is your husband,
and one of them is reportedly a pedophile.
And you have nerve to talk about me
and what you think that I do?
Nicki Minaj.
[00:01:05]
Get a life. Stop being a pick me.
Put up the picture. Full mast.
Some interesting and relevant.
Things to note.
One.
The statement was offered in criticism.
[00:01:27]
And in opposition
to the humanity of Don lemon.
So let's be clear about
the context of the statement.
Okay, whatever that brother does
in his own relationship
[00:01:43]
is his business as a consenting adult
with another consenting adult.
Period.
We assume Nicki Minaj believed the same.
In addition to that,
her public about face.
To embrace the standards
or lack of standards of MAGA
[00:02:04]
has also been trending in the news.
I think there's a connection.
I will explain in a moment.
Let me give you the background
to how it started January 18th.
A video posted online
by Black Lives Matter.
This was a Minnesota protest.
[00:02:21]
Minnesota protesters entering city's
church in Saint Paul, where they said
one of the pastors, David Easterwood,
is the acting field director of the Saint
[00:02:37]
Paul Ice Field Office on Saturday.
Lemon shared a video
on his social media accounts of him
interviewing protesters in Minneapolis.
This was before they interrupted
a local church service chanting, quote,
[00:02:55]
ice out and demanding justice for Renee.
Good.
I want you to keep that picture up,
Jordan, because I've seen,
governmental entities.
I've seen.
Moderate political individuals who have
been duped and I've seen conservatives
[00:03:14]
or those on the MAGA right who are
intentionally misleading this issue.
They will post this and they will say,
look, protesters have come to churches
in order to target our fearless Ice
[00:03:34]
officers, and they are disrupting service.
Damn lie, this government under the Trump
administration decided as policy,
as policy to rip away the sanctity of all
[00:03:52]
churches, all religious institutions,
in order for their federal agents
to have complete and unfettered access
to them in order to violate the rights
of people there.
[00:04:07]
That was Trump.
So if there has been any disruption,
please know the disruption came by way of
the federal policy that has been enacted
under Donald Trump today.
Those who are protesting
are not protesting the church.
They are protesting the church.
[00:04:24]
And the policy that has been allowed
and for some churches
has not even been well opposed.
It's a damn shame.
And for those Christian evangelicals who
are commenting, and you are now, somehow,
[00:04:44]
being self-righteous and moralizing
against peaceful protesters, I want to
remind you of you, of the Christian faith.
It was Yeshua who went inside of a church,
a synagogue,
and flipped over tables there.
Destroyed property.
He wasn't protesting synagogue, per se.
[00:05:02]
He was protesting the policies
that they were expressing.
There's more. Put it up.
So interesting enough, Easterwood was
[00:05:20]
not the church at the time of the protest,
according to the Black Lives Matter,
Minnesota Jonathan Parnell.
He was not at the church at the time, but
Jonathan Parnell is the church's pastor.
Jonathan can be seen talking
to protesters in the video,
[00:05:39]
quote, someone who claims to worship God.
Teaching people in this church about God
is out there overseeing Ice agents.
Think about what we've experienced.
End quote.
A protester tells the congregation
inside the church and the Black
Lives Matter Minnesota Video.
That is a relevant statement
and a relevant point inside of a Christian
[00:05:58]
ministry that allegedly is dedicated
to a particular human rights stand.
Very relevant. There's more.
Minaj decided to take
this very serious subject matter.
[00:06:15]
She took it to X, her account,
to slam the journalist over the video,
writing quote de one.
Sucking lemon is disgusting. How dare you!
[00:06:32]
I want that thug in jail.
He would never do that
to any other religion.
Lock him up.
She also included a photo
of Chuckie in her post.
Keep that up, Jordan.
[00:06:47]
I really would like someone who analyzes
speech pathology to look at her text
and look at the text of Trump.
And give an analysis
[00:07:04]
of similar language context, usage
of font and expressive verbiage.
And the reason why I'm asking for that.
This is a serious request.
[00:07:20]
I'm asking for it because the same hand
may be behind them all.
There's more.
Despite backlash, the rapper doubled down,
writing on X Monday lol.
[00:07:39]
And I purposely wrote it that way
because I knew That would be the only way
to get the suckers to post about it.
They would have all collectively ignored
the despicable behavior.
[00:07:58]
Despicable behavior.
Displayed by Lemonhead.
I'm glad they're angry.
They're about to get angrier.
Once again, who does this sound like?
[00:08:20]
Interesting enough,
let's go to eight years ago.
Put it out eight years ago.
Nicki Minaj posted this online
during Trump's first term.
Quote I came to this country
as an illegal immigrant at five years old.
[00:08:40]
I can't imagine the horror of being
in a strange place and having my parents
stripped away from me at the age of five.
This is so scary to me. Please stop this.
Can you try to imagine the terror
and panic these kids feel right now?
[00:09:00]
End quote.
Jordan, I want you to go back
to the first post by Nicki Minaj that
started this whole thing of her attempting
to degrade the humanity of John Lennon.
I'm going to read it again
for parallel context.
[00:09:18]
Nicki Minaj says in all caps
as traditional to Trump's style,
Don sucking lemon is disgusting.
How dare you?
[00:09:34]
I want that thug in jail.
He would never do that
to any other religion.
Lock him up.
I'll let you decide.
Other conservative news.
Conservative issues.
[00:09:52]
Conservative pundit taking issue with Don.
So video clips of the incident.
So video clips of the incident
circulated widely online.
Now, remember, Don, is there
letting you know what's happening.
He's a messenger, at the at the,
absolute utmost level
[00:10:12]
in order to, give you the experience
without you having the experience.
Okay, so video clips of the incident
circulated online, widely fueling outrage
among conservative commentators.
[00:10:28]
Got em whipped up all they see.
Red meat, Don lemon.
They they want to get.
They've been wanting to get Don
lemon off air since he, was on air.
Now that he's not even technically on air.
They're still trying
to get him off air via social media.
[00:10:44]
It's insane.
So the MAGA voice account called for him
to be investigated by the FBI.
What? And the Department of Justice.
[00:10:59]
While influencer Ben Johnson claimed the
journalist's actions amounted to, quote,
not just an obscene violation
of the Face act, it's likely a hate crime.
End quote.
Johnson and others referenced the Freedom
[00:11:17]
of Access to Clinic Entrances Act of 1994,
which makes it a federal crime
to use force intimidation or obstruction
at reproductive health facilities
and places of worship.
[00:11:35]
Right wing figures, including Matt Walsh
and Baptist minister Paul Chappelle,
echoed similar calls.
Quote, we condemn the actions of Don lemon
and a group of activists
who stormed city's church today
[00:11:53]
in Saint Paul, Minnesota,
in clear violation of the Face act.
Chappelle wrote, quote,
Christians everywhere should demand
that the Department of Justice
arrest those who participated.
You know who's immune to the Face act.
[00:12:11]
The federal agents who raid churches.
They're immune from prosecution,
given the protection.
That the church no longer has.
Only by way of Trump's policy
in the administration.
[00:12:31]
Put it up.
Minaj celebrated
this project with a prayer.
With prayer hands
and American flag emojis.
Prayer hands. An American flag emoji.
[00:12:53]
Now we have a lot of things
going on in this country.
We have people who can barely
make ends meet, and they voted
for this administration reluctantly.
So we have individuals who now
cannot afford a higher education.
[00:13:08]
Why?
Because the Trump administration
has either a made it damn near impossible
to pay back his student loans,
so you don't have as many options
for your future education.
And two, they have decided to rip away
the very programs that would hinder,
[00:13:24]
the oppressive elements
of where you were born.
So now you have a Department of Justice
who has been given the task.
Out of everything that's happening,
[00:13:40]
from the Epstein saga to investigations of
human sex trafficking and everything else
that the federal government,
via the DOJ is involved in,
they now are going to investigate
[00:13:58]
the people at the church.
According to the quote. All right.
The DOJ quote, I just spoke to the pastor
in Minnesota whose church was targeted.
End quote.
That's what Attorney General Pam Bondi
posted on X Sunday, quote,
[00:14:17]
attacks against law enforcement and the
intimidation of Christians are being met
with the full force of federal law.
If state leaders refuse to act responsibly
to prevent lawlessness,
this Department of Justice will remain
mobilized to prosecute federal crimes
[00:14:33]
and ensure that the rule of law prevails.
Bondi's post continued assistant Attorney
general for the DOJ's Civil Rights
Division, Harmeet Dhillon likewise said
they are investigating the incident.
[00:14:54]
Man, we've come a mighty long fall
from the civil rights protests in the 60s.
We just celebrated King's birthday.
It's a big deal here in Atlanta.
From children
wearing Stacey Adams dress shoes.
[00:15:16]
Suit on the young men.
Dresses on the young women.
Attempting to integrate
all white schools in the South.
Because they wanted to have access
to what their parents tax dollars
[00:15:36]
were already paying for.
Now, the same laws that emerged
out of that great evil known as racism,
that policy that emerged from that
in order to correct or create course
[00:15:54]
correction for this nation, those
same policies are now being utilized.
To protect the interest of the institution
rather than the interest
of progressing a diverse country.
[00:16:16]
All right. Sharing thoughts here.
Well, first, Nicki Minaj is a buffoon.
Okay.
W w what would don do that?
And he's right.
I'm with Remy Ma.
Probably does have a ghost writer.
Doc. You're on to something.
[00:16:31]
Okay.
Probably was written by somebody close
to or inside 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
This filth and just nonsensical nonsense.
I like rap because there's so many
intelligent ones out there.
They're telling stories.
They're educating us.
[00:16:46]
They're not just entertaining us.
I love it, but she's Pastor Prime
and she's off her rocker.
And as far as the conservatives
who are crying and begging for Don lemon
to be prosecuted and persecuted
since he was inside the church reporting,
[00:17:05]
where were they?
Were they calling for concerned citizens,
to be prosecuted for radicalizing
Dylann Roof when he shot up that
Charleston, South Carolina, church?
Is that what they were doing then?
I don't think so.
We didn't hear a word from them.
[00:17:20]
They said nothing
of the Council of Conservative Citizens.
They just thought it was just one
lone wolf kid and nothing to see here.
So listen, nothing's off limits.
If you want to behave a certain way.
I don't understand
why you wouldn't invite people in.
That was a hell
of a congregational get together.
[00:17:39]
Let's talk about it.
You don't want to talk about it now.
He's got to go to jail, okay?
Yeah. It's insane.
You know, if you said nothing
when the administration made a policy
that you have no rights of privacy
in your house of worship,
[00:17:57]
in your place of faith that you go to
when you said nothing there,
they made your house of worship.
They made the place
where you express your faith on limit,
not off limit for this, because you chose
not to stand up for the greater humanity
[00:18:15]
that you exist to stand up for.
It's a damn shame.
All right.
We'll bring you updates as they come.
